I used to be a party animal, mixing and dancing. I used to climb trees. Now, I stay on the ground and read about others’ adventures. It seems more fun because everyone else is funnier than I ever was.
I wish that I could spend twenty four hours a day reading all of those words in all of those works that I treasure. I could study and learn. Then, after hearing all of those Byrons and Shelleys in my heart’s ear, I could write a two line limerick.
It’s Friday and the feast of Saint Joseph. Yey! It is a quiet party for three, my husband, me and God. I am cooking brown rice and sitting in front of the fan because the air conditioner broke. Everyone else is hunkering down in the house to keep warm.
